For the many, not the few
The results of the by-election were
Ian Cobb (Conservative) 424 (37%) [519 in 2009 Ivan Bulwer, down 95, 6%]
Mick Lyons (Labour) 66 (6%)
James Pitcher (Ukip) 93 (8%)
Tim Wakeley (LibDem) 139 (12%) [188 in 2009 Tony Zeid, down 49 or 3%]
Ivor Warlow (Independent) 428 (37%) [515 in 2009 Ivor Warlow, down 87 or 5%]
1150 valid and 2 spoiled ballot papers.Turnout 42%. [Turnout 1221 in 2009 45%]
So Conservatives, Indepenent and LibDems have all lost votes since 2009, but it seems that there is very little change in the voting as Labour and UKIP did not stand in 2009. Looks like UKIP may have stopped the Conservatives from retaining this seat.
